In case you missed it, earlier this week Apple announced the upcoming release of the iPhone 4S. I saw that some were disappointed as they were anticipating the release of the iPhone 5. I wasn’t too worried about it. I still have my trusty 3G. 🙂 My only complaint is that it’s a little slow, as in I find out what you were doing yesterday when I look at Facebook today.
New phones, new website and template releases, ProPhoto4, Showit, sneak peeks, test drives … gah! Somedays my head just spins and I stress over being able to learn the ins and outs of new products and gadgets! I think back to when I was in college. We were participating in the AAF competition, basically a national student ad competition where you have a case study and put together an entire ad campaign for an established company. Mind you, this wasn’t TERRIBLY long ago. Our team did very well. Funny thing is, we were the ONLY team to even mention using the internet or having any sort of web presence. I’m not sure how that was possible, but I swear we were the innovators!
My children will never know life without being able to google something for an immediate answer or to have a conversation with a friend without actually having to speak to them. My business would not survive without technology. I am beyond grateful that I can work with people on the other side of the world and not leave my house. However, I’ll admit sometimes it’s refreshing to see my daughter sketching in her notepad, painting or reading a book outside. This has been on my mind this week after learning of the passing of the true innovator, Steve Jobs. What an amazing mind! Just sharing what keeps me up at night!
Also sharing Jen’s custom logo and marketing pieces. I love that it’s girly and has a vintage flair. Super pretty Jen! Have a great weekend! Looks to be beautiful. Wishing my hubby (who doesn’t read my blog) good luck on his first half-marathon. We’ll be cheering for you as we use GPS to track your run from the stands using Runkeeper on the Macbook! 🙂
