How do I make a payment?
A deposit of 50% or payment in full is required to begin your project. All funds can be sent via Paypal to kimdrury@bloomsdale.net. Click here to begin.
What happens if I don’t like the initial concept?
Not a problem! There are many times we get it the first go, however, changes are always expected. Revisions are unlimited so we’ll work to get you exactly what you want. It helps to see an initial round and get a good starting point. Due to the digital nature of the project, no refunds are given after final files are distributed.
What if I’m not sure what I want?
Totally fine! I ask questions at the beginning of the process to try to narrow the focus down a bit. My initial concepts will typically include a mix of things you’ve said you like. Once you see these, you generally have a better idea of where you’d like to go.
Can you make my set or logo just like “this photographers”?
In short, not really. I strive to make each person’s set unique to their business. Basic layout isn’t a big deal, but exact patterns, colors or design elements is something to shy away from. If it’s another designer’s work, it borders on copyright infringement. Feel free to send samples for inspiration, but please understand that I won’t be able to make it look “just like theirs” and will work to help you discover your “you”!
Do you design blogs or websites?
At this time I’m not offering those services to clients. There are so many great templates available. I’m happy to recommend. I have helped a bit with installation of backgrounds and headers. Please inquire if you need me to do so.
What if something comes up like vacations, babies, illness, etc.?
There have been times when I haven’t heard from a client in a while and I’ve checked in multiple times. Some have had babies, some have been ill and some are just taking time to make decisions and evaluate. This isn’t a huge deal. Obviously letting me know ahead of time is ideal, but I’m very flexible. I basically move forward with other projects until I hear from you and work you back in as best as I can once you’re ready. I have four children. I understand that things come up and I rock at multi-tasking!
I need something right away. Can you help?
Please ask. I do offer rush services for an additional fee.
Do you offer discounts?
Sales and discounts are available from time to time on my premade work found on Etsy or Pink Ink. I’ll occasionally run a special on premade cards or templates from this site. I do not discount custom work at this time as it causes mass confusion with having a waiting list. Please watch for specials and announcements on the blog, Clickn’ Moms, Twitter or Facebook.
What about the concepts you don’t use?
All concepts not used remain the property of MadiLu Designs and may not be used without permission. Feel free to be inspired by my designs, but please do not copy or claim the work as your own.
Do you provide the wording?
I have basic text for the print release, print care and copyright cards. I use it as a placeholder. You’re welcome to fine tune, edit or trash entirely! I do not provide copy for the brochures, what to wear pieces, FAQ’s as it’s unique to everyone’s business. What file formats do you provide? Do I need Photoshop?
You’ll receive all marketing files as layered Photoshop files. I test from time to time in Elements to make sure they are compatible. I recommend having a working knowledge of Photoshop as it will be much easier for you. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have. My Lightroom experience is limited. Someday, right?
