Congrats to Tish Hill on winning a year subscription to The Easy Accounting Solution for the Photographer! We put the names in a hat and my Sam drew Tish’s name. I’ll drop you an email Tish. Loved her quote, “because I’m an artist, not a business woman”. Amen to that!
Sharing Kim’s custom logo and set with you. She recently opened her studio in Oklahoma. We did a variety of pieces so she could cover families, seniors and weddings. It’s a fun range from funky to formal with a clean and simple logo. Lots of luck to you Kim!
All right … kiddos only have four days of school left and I’ve got lots to accomplish before we roll into summer. Have a great weekend!

One of our family rituals is to tell each other our good thing and bad thing for the day. The kids love it and it’s a great way to know what’s going on in school and how things are with teachers and friends. It’s also a good way to find out they hate what you’ve cooked because my dinner menu is a frequent topic of conversation.
It’s also a ritual you can apply to your business. What good thing took place while you worked today? What was your bad thing? Accounting is usually at the top of my list … hands down. I’m not a numbers girl so I have a great amount of respect for those who are. There are also really great people who can make life a little easier. I used the fancy Random Number Generator and Amanda Brunngraeber is the winner of $100 off custom design or towards product in my Pink Ink store. A donation will also be made to the Red Cross chapter of her choice. Speaking of that donation, it’s all of the proceeds of my Pink Ink sales. I was going to cut that off at 10:00 this morning, but I’m going to let it run through Sunday evening in hopes of building up a little more. So … shop, shop, shop! I’ve got a new newborn marketing set over there. It would be perfect for that area of your business! If you’re in the market for a giveaway and some cute props/products, check out Little Love’s Designs. She’s got some really great headbands and there are tons of vendors on board.
Sharing Annette’s marketing set today. She had her logo but we needed it in a format that we could easily work with. Did a little tweaking and here it is! Her colors make me happy. Welcome to Thursday! It’s one of those days where the caffeine drip is installed and my thoughts are moving way faster than my hands. I survived a full 15 minutes of a Jillian Michael’s DVD last night and I swear even my eyebrows are sore. It’s all good! Let’s do something fun!
I reached the 2000 fans/likers mark on Facebook. Kind of crazy! I was trying to come up with a fun giveaway and honestly felt a little torn. I’m sure most of you are familiar with the devastating storms that have destroyed so many homes and businesses in our country this week. My heart breaks for these families. We were very lucky in St. Louis in that no one was seriously injured, but there is significant damage in the area. The destruction and loss of lives in the southern states is simply awful. I’ve been thinking of my clients in Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. My prayers are with you and your families.
Here’s what I’d like to do. This will be a quickie. Deadline is tomorrow morning … April 29, 10:00 CST. One person will receive $100 off your custom design OR $100 towards product in my Pink Ink Store. If we’re currently working on your project, you can still enter and use this towards your design. Easy enough! That same winner will also get to choose the Red Cross chapter of their choice. I will donate all proceeds of sales in my Pink Ink store to that particular Red Cross. Get it? Anything you purchase between now and 10am tomorrow will help storm, tornado, flood or even earthquake victims. Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Anyone else have a Black Friday/Cyber Monday hangover? I’m feeling it this morning! I braved 26° temperatures and fought the crowds late Thanksgiving night. I strictly went for the atmosphere and my sister-in-laws and I quickly realized that we’ll do this next year … online … from home … in our pajamas.

Keeping this short and sweet as I wait for my new BFF, Nick the AT&T guy. When it rains, it pours … literally. For whatever reason, I cannot keep a steady internet connection when it rains. The more rain, the worse it gets. Eventually it just dies and I’m stuck. It started last week and happened most of yesterday. I can read email on my iPhone but not send proofs. I know this has happened to some of us while working together and I truly appreciate your patience. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he has a brilliant plan this morning. Have a great day!!
