Blogging Jori’s new design today! She was after something to reach her children and families. Quite a bit of her design is developed around the o’s in her name, including her pattern and the little circle where you’ll see her owl perched. Definitely a fun and bright look! In other exciting news, I’ve added links to accept credit card payments. I still work through Paypal but just wanted to be able to give you more options.

Summer blogging … apparently it’s few and far between. I’m still working full-time but have put blogging on the back burner in order to spend time with the kids. It’s hard to believe school starts in just a few short weeks. I go back and forth … love the non-existent schedule but also struggle with the chaos it brings. We’ve finally hit a point where a routine is going to be a good thing! My baby turns 5 tomorrow and starts Pre-K this month. We had to buy her first backpack. Cue the Kleenex!
Speaking of family, I recently did this logo and marketing set for Ashley of Madison Samuel Photography. Pretty cool since I have a Madison and a Samuel. I love how it’s a little soft, a little whimsical and a little funky all rolled into one! Thanks Ashley … many wishes of success coming your way!
In other news, we’ve decided to close the store at Pink Ink Studios. Watch for sales and other great steals during the month of August. I’m going to move some of my premade work over to this site and revamp a few things over the next month or so. Exciting things to come! Have a great day!

I used the fancy Random Number Generator and Amanda Brunngraeber is the winner of $100 off custom design or towards product in my Pink Ink store. A donation will also be made to the Red Cross chapter of her choice. Speaking of that donation, it’s all of the proceeds of my Pink Ink sales. I was going to cut that off at 10:00 this morning, but I’m going to let it run through Sunday evening in hopes of building up a little more. So … shop, shop, shop! I’ve got a new newborn marketing set over there. It would be perfect for that area of your business! If you’re in the market for a giveaway and some cute props/products, check out Little Love’s Designs. She’s got some really great headbands and there are tons of vendors on board.
Sharing Annette’s marketing set today. She had her logo but we needed it in a format that we could easily work with. Did a little tweaking and here it is! Her colors make me happy. Welcome to Thursday! It’s one of those days where the caffeine drip is installed and my thoughts are moving way faster than my hands. I survived a full 15 minutes of a Jillian Michael’s DVD last night and I swear even my eyebrows are sore. It’s all good! Let’s do something fun!
I reached the 2000 fans/likers mark on Facebook. Kind of crazy! I was trying to come up with a fun giveaway and honestly felt a little torn. I’m sure most of you are familiar with the devastating storms that have destroyed so many homes and businesses in our country this week. My heart breaks for these families. We were very lucky in St. Louis in that no one was seriously injured, but there is significant damage in the area. The destruction and loss of lives in the southern states is simply awful. I’ve been thinking of my clients in Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. My prayers are with you and your families.
Here’s what I’d like to do. This will be a quickie. Deadline is tomorrow morning … April 29, 10:00 CST. One person will receive $100 off your custom design OR $100 towards product in my Pink Ink Store. If we’re currently working on your project, you can still enter and use this towards your design. Easy enough! That same winner will also get to choose the Red Cross chapter of their choice. I will donate all proceeds of sales in my Pink Ink store to that particular Red Cross. Get it? It’s hard to believe a week ago I was in Vegas. Today I’m tucked behind the computer staring at a mountain of email. No lie … it’s like someone added water and it multiplied. When I was little the days seemed to drag on and on. Now I’m petitioning for at least one more day in the week. If I could pick it would be an extra Saturday … hands down my favorite day. Enough rambling …
I’ve got a lot going this week and you need to check it out because you can win awesome prizes! Rock The Shot launched and has one heck of a giveaway going! I recommend taking a look at their forum. My talented friends at Pink Ink are also having a giveaway. I feel a bit lame going up against the girls that rock the handmade goods. You can also find a little bit about me on the Savvy Photographer’s blog today. I got a “you really told that joke?” from my husband. Oh well … I never claimed to be funny! I made it back from Vegas late last night. My head is spinning as fast as that roulette wheel! My throat is scratchy, my feet hurt and I think I’m exhausted! I can’t imagine how those who took the classes and spent the entire week must feel. So much to see at the trade show! It’s so great to be able to touch and feel samples. I visited with all of the labs and got to see new products. I met really great people but didn’t get to meet everyone I’d hoped to see. It was impossible as the show was in two buildings and phone service was next to nothing. I updated swatch books and asked lots of questions. I was on the hunt for a few specialty items for clients and found a few things. Still looking for others. I also have a great source for packaging options and happy to recommend when we’re working on your set.
Speaking of sets, this custom logo and set was done for Nicole. Very elegant and classy with that bit of teal to make it POP! It was my birthday while I was in Vegas. Nicole sent a message saying hers was the same day! Say Happy Birthday to Nicole everyone!!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I think it’s a great day to celebrate those you love. Family, friends, some near, some far, those present and those missed … it’s such a reminder of love in our lives. The candy is a perk too!
Excited to share this new logo and set for Sammi of Around the Bend Photography. She was looking for something with a vintage feel and wanted to incorporate her tree, the greens and a pop of red. I like the little bit of movement that the path add to the set. So pretty Sammi!

What a week of yuck! Bad weather, homebound and wonky internet … enough to drive this mama crazy! While we didn’t get the “historical” amount of snow, we did get enough sleet, ice and snow to cancel school the entire week. It’s also very cooolllddd!! It looks like more bad weather is in the forecast for early next week. Come on spring … I’m counting the days!
Natalie’s new logo and set did bring a little sunshine into my life. She’d probably tell you this wasn’t easy. We kept gravitating towards something similar to her original logo. We took a short timeout and she was able to really focus on what she really wanted for her brand. I’m glad we did! The birds are a tribute to her mother and the rest is the shabby chic look w/the pretty aqua, orange and gray. Love it Natalie! We’ll have to toast over Diet Dr. Pepper sometime!
OK Friday … lots of emails and proofs going out. I’ve been praying to the internet gods all week for a steady connection. My Pink Ink store is updated and the Diamond Marketing Set is available. I’ve got a fun giveaway coming up. Drop me a message if you’re going to WPPI in Las Vegas. I’m taking a very quick trip to catch up with my friend Kristy (she lives an hour from Vegas … ha, ha Enrich girls), meet the beautiful Crystal and grab new product samples and ideas at the trade show. I recently had the pleasure of designing marketing sets for both Lauren and Hollie. Both ladies had a logo they were already using. We just needed to pull the rest of their looks together. Both sets use a darker charcoal color. It’s kind of cool to see how the different effects can mix things up. Hollie went for more shabby, while Lauren’s charcoal gives her set more of a sleek look. Pretty sets girls … enjoy!
I was thinking about it today and one of my favorite things to design are the thank you/note cards. You have more freedom with these. By the time your client receives a final note, they’ve seen the various pieces of your marketing set and the thank you is like the bow on the package. Excited to post more sets next week. Before I forget, congrats to Lynette Weber (#28). She won the $50 certificate towards custom design. Lots of entries … overwhelmed by the kind words. Thank you! If you like the premade set, I’m going to be adding it to my Pink Ink store at an introductory price. I’ll keep you posted via Facebook once it’s in the store … aiming for the weekend, but weekends this time of year get pretty busy.
Sharing Myra’s custom set and logo. Myra loves orange. Pair it with lime and a dark bluish-gray and that baby really pops. Speaking of baby, I’ve ‘known’ Myra for quite some time. We took a photography workshop together and have kept in touch. I’m excited to see her launching her photography business, but even more excited for sweet baby girl to arrive in February … hopefully on my birthday! Have a great weekend!
