I just double-checked the calendar, but it’s really only Wednesday. I’m not sure how that’s even possible! Surely Friday is just around the corner. Lots going on around here! I attended the WHCC St. Louis event Monday evening. It was fun and I got to hang with the lovely Holly from Two Pear Designs.  It’s always cool to touch and feel products. They have a lot of metallic pieces that really stood out, especially their press books and standouts. If you’re doing a press book and really want it to pop, you might want to consider using their UV coating. It depends on your subject … not sure I’d do it for weddings or babies, but it looks really cool for seniors. They’re also doing magnets and stickers in their boutique shapes … fun for packaging. I saw some great little pieces that would make really nice bag tags.

I had a design meeting with my dentist. That was interesting. It does make you realize that the people you least expect to become your client might benefit from your services. You definitely want to have business cards on hand, even if someone is drilling in your mouth or slapping on color to cover the gray.
